Recording can be implemented in the live setting or in synchrony with videotape records. Multiple different observation systems may be used with the same data collection apparatus by predefining keys on the keyboard and then saving a particular observation system file. Each predefined observation system for a particular application is represented on screen for data collection ease. An observation system file manager for multiple observation systems, and a file manager for multiple data files for each observation system is also contained in the program. </p> <p class=MsoNormal>The analysis program enables the viewing and manipulation of individual data files, and logically ordered data file groupings or collections, in tabular, graphic, and hierarchical formats. Analyses range from descriptive statistics, to narrative analyses, to sequential analyses, to a variety of graphic representations.
